Performance Profiling: Type of Noise

Dernière mise à jour : 25 août

There are several components in hardware and software that impact performance, such as DFS (Dynamic Frequency Scaling). DFS is a feature that increases the CPU’s clock frequency , allowing it to process more instructions per second, based on the CPU’s temperature.

The hotter the CPU gets, the more it can boost its speed. However, this boost only lasts for a short period; after that, the CPU reduces its frequency back to its base level.
